The best hot dog I ever tasted

Inspired by The Food Pornographer, I had to add a quick post about the best hot dog I've ever tried. When I was a kid hot dogs where like crack. I couldn't get enough of em, but in an effort to fight the bulge I've stayed away from them as a rule, since I hit double digits. Although one drunken night in Tokyo, just outside of a Shibuya subway station, I was drawn to the MOS BURGER. Once inside its bright expanse, the hypnotic smell of transfats cooking away led me to the words HOT DOG, standing out like a beacon amongst the half kana / half romanji menu.

It had been a while, but a smile came over my face after the first bite and I just had to take a photo to embody the story of the best hotdog I've ever tried.

PS. This post was inspired by reading the food pornographers blog. I noticed reading her blog that some of the most memorable meals, are totally unexpected. Like lunch in the uni cafe, a curry from a dodgy corner store or in my case the best hot dog I ever tasted from Mos Burger.
